  2011년 예술의전당에서 훈데르트 바서전을 보고 참 독특하고 인상깊은 건축가를 알게 되어 좋았다. 그래서 2016년 오스트리아 빈을 찾았을 때 이곳에 들르게 되었고 또 한번 곡선과 환경을 사랑하는 훈데르트 바서의 매력에 빠질 수 있었다. 가우디 건축과 비교가 많이들 되곤 하는데, 가우디는 가우디만의 매력이, 훈데르트 바서는 훈데르트 바서만의 매력이 있다고 생각한다. 훈데르트 바서는 좀 더 익살스러우면서도 추상적인 건축가라 느껴졌고 또한 환경을 고려한 건축에 대한 생각을 해볼 수 있었던 시간이었다. 바닥이 평평하지 않은 건축물이라니! 모서리 뿐만 아니라 방 한가운데도 볼록하니 바닥이 솟아있는데, 그게 꽤나 재밌었다. 한눈 팔다간 발을 잘못 디디기 쉽상인데 바닥에서 그런 요소를 찾는 것도 아이들에게 창의력을 심어줄 수 있는 기회라 생각한다. 정형화되고 획일된 공간에 사는 오늘날, 공간을 다시금 정의해볼 수 있는 곳이 아닐까 생각해본다.

  A must see museum in a city of many musts. A unique artist with noteworthy biography. Make sure you read a little of what is written at the entrance, or better still, online. The museum gives a comprehensive view of Hundertwasser many talents and a chance to view his work, mostly paintings but also other media and other disciplines. A must visit to every one with a spark of creativity, every artist be it a painter or a photographer. The coffee shop is also very nice and so is the souvenir shop. If you have the time or inclination this is a place to spend a few hours wondering.
