::To everyone who is planning on getting married. It's a disaster. The way that they treat people in there is unacceptable. We are an international couple. My fiancee is from England and I myself don't have Austrian citizenship. I am from Russia. So our documents have to be translated. First of all every time we went there with our documents we get a different civil servant(responsibile for marriages) everytime and they all give out different information. One demanded an apostille on a already translated. document (given me by the local embassy) which as you might know can only be given in the country you are from. The other one demanded a name change certificate that was not needed before and was not listed as an demanded document on our list. No one but the last lady mentioned that I needed a translated copy of my internal pass (also not stated on the list) which would make total sense to ask from me. Secondly they treat people disrespectfully. The prices they set can change from day to day without any logical explanation. You have the right to hand in your documents in any Registry office. Please do so in order to avoid more difficulties than necessary. I wish we would've known better.
