::The Café Konditorei Zafita has a long tradition (est. in 1881) and is located next to the Opera of Graz and is famous for is delicacies and its traditional atmosphere. I like this coffee shop for its silence and quaint flair where you can focus on why you have come here, either for the coffee and tart itself or for meeting friends or business partners, there are no distractions here and you are quite productive and people come here to relax and enjoy an oasis of serenity right in the center of Graz. The staff is very friendly and willing to help, and the cakes and tarts are very delicious and very representative for what the Austrian Pastry World stands for. I strongly recommend to order my favorite Weichselschifferl, a tart with many creamy layers, covered with marzipan and topped with sour cherry marmalade. The Weichselschifferl is a speciality of this place, you will not find anywhere else. Das Lokal ist geteilt in einen Raucher- und einen Nichtraucherbereich und eröffnet Torten-, Kuchen- und Kaffeeliebhabern in schönem Ambiente vielfÀltige Möglichkeiten des Genusses. Zur warmen Jahreszeit sitzt man auch im Freien und probiert - bei dieser Gelegenheit oder einfach im Vorbeigehen - das Eis, das alljÀhrlich in diversen Tests und Bewertungen Bestnoten erzielt.
